Work Smarter Not Harder: 18 Productivity Tips That Boost Your Work Day Performance

This book is probably the best book I ever read before. It is not something that’s related to Webbing Suppliers or industrial strap – or any other related industry. It’s linked with life.
This is book what I read before one year. Probably in the earlier stage of 2015 (don’t know exact month). In that stage of my life (and life other in our company) was… hm … don’t know how to say it. Probably the worst time in my life.
We expected to be on the street in a month or two. I did not think that my work productivity can be better in future. This book introduces me a whole new concept of work productivity.

On one business meeting, my boss called me to talk with a generous person named Will. It was a big change for me because I’m not related to the whole concept in the company (my job is related to audience). Mr. Will from “YorSEOSecret Agency” introduces to me how to get more done when to work remotely and how he get fired from the last job. He starts to work from home for his business.

He explained me how he lets distractions rule his day. I realize that I have the same problem and how it is impossible to focus on important projects. He introduces me a book called “Work Smarter Not Harder”. It is a personal guide for helping you on your journey to increased productivity and better work habits.

After reading it, I can say that this helped me to achieve more at work. There was tips for questions to ask before next meeting, what was the core blocks of productivity, what to prioritize first, how to adopt my habits with my work day. I think that the best was checklist types for my job.

When my boss saw my working progress, we had met and after that, we made two kinds of lists for “Rosemont Textiles”.

In 2 or 3 months we made big progress on the market as web distributor. The whole company adopts on this checklist procedure, and we made a big step in organizing.

I know that this was not sufficiently related article with Webbing Suppliers, but I work for one. This book helped me for my life perception view.

Work Smarter is an excellent resource for ideas on how to reduce the time distractions from work and increase your productivity. It is not the holy grail but when you read it, you think twice, and then you realize that this is easy to read book with many great tips from a person with experience.

HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Change Management (including featured article “Leading Change,” by John P. Kotter)

Hey, Rodger is here again. Once again I have a book review for you.

Probably this does is not article what my boss like to read, but it is a pure reality. I must say that this book and YourSEOSecret Agency are the two best things we can have before 12 or 13 months.

We in Rosemont Textiles as webbing supplier have a rough time in front of us before we look things from another angle. As you probably see from my last articles we have significant losses and probably we would have big fail. We read this book, and we did not have it – you don’t need to have it too.

John P. Kotter writes a book called „HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Change Management (including featured article “Leading Change,” by John P. Kotter)“ and if you read nothing else on change management, read these ten articles. We tried with Harvard-educated Business people; we even tried to rent people to do business for us. Nothing helped in that’s moves.

Then, we buy this book with 10 Must Reads on Change Managment, and they inspire us. This book (HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Change Management (including featured article “Leading Change,” by John P. Kotter))can adapt in every business – not only for webbing suppliers.  We hire a realy great person called Will from  Agency and first we made a conference call with his stuff personal.

He proposes to invest $14 in paperback for this book. After we agree on all details, we start to read and to understand what he talked about.  I know, we could do it ourself, but we did not realize from where to start – and there this agency come in. We did not invest significant money. After all, if this invest was move what bring us profit as webbing supplier then this invest worth it.

Trust me; their advice’s helped us to bring us more profit than we expected.  Ok, I know it is time to write a review about a book.

In this book there are ten must critical reads on change management and you must read it because it will inspire you:

– Lead change through eight critical stages
– Establish a sense of urgency
– Overcome addiction to the status quo
– Mobilize commitment
– Silence naysayers
– Minimize the pain of change
– Concentrate resources
– Motivate change when business is good

This collection of articles includes featured article „Leading Change: Why Transformation Efforts Fail“ by John P. Kotter and several other articles and interviews.

There are not so many things to say it, but this book helped me to have my job till now. HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Change Management (including featured article “Leading Change,” by John P. Kotter) series focuses on the core topics that every ambitious manager needs to know: leadership, strategy, change, managing people, and managing yourself.

Harvard Business Review has sorted through hundreds of articles and selected only the most essential reading on each topic. Each title includes timeless advice that will be relevant regardless of an ever-changing business environment.

Great review from Amazon buyer:
